Hello, My Friends!
Having a wonderful week? I hope so. I am feeling tremendously grateful today. While one of the worst events of my life happened Tuesday... I was in a car accident...thank the Lord in heaven, no one was badly injured. The accident was my fault. It was a four car collision. The greatest lesson is that in a blink of an eye, life can change so quickly. We should all be thankful for each day and be so very careful and attentive to important things like driving safely.
I am dealing with a lot of emotions right now. My beloved Escalade will be in the shop for several months, and I may not have a car until then. We do take our independence for granted. I hated to see that wonderful machine all crunched up, but again, incidents like this help put my priorities in order. Health and a sound mind are much more valuable than metal. And while very inconvenient, the metal is repairable and replaceable.
The Lord is still in control. It could of been worse. Someone could of died...or, I could have lost my own life. How much pain would that have caused? Yes, my folks have a wrecked car to deal with, but they are so thankful I am okay. I keep telling myself over and over, I can't be anything but grateful. Yes, today I am very grateful!
On a happier note, I found some beautiful images on an amazing site today. If you have yet to discover her, check out Such Pretty Things. Jessica is a lover of all things artsy, as am I. All of her material is original. Each photograph she captures is like a ray of sunshine. She has a perfect eye for design. Her images are all taken from a visually appealing viewpoint. Love her!
As I close for today, I wish you all safety. And I encourage you to be alert, and take nothing for granted. Life is fragile.
And above all, be GRATEFUL!
Much love, my friends!
